According to family legend, Luther had been to sea off the coast of Spain, came home and gave his two daughters these flowery Spanish names:  Kimetia Roena, and Isora Lavega.  No evidence has been found to prove or disprove this story, though a quick Google search reveals that Isora is an isolated town in the Canary Islands and that Villa Lavega is a rental house on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.  La Vega is also a town in Dominican republic where Christopher Columbus searched for gold.  Additionally, it turns out that "Isora Lavega" was a not uncommon name for girls at that time.

Kimetia and Roena are not the only Newton children with fanciful names.  The two boys are Martin Luther and Albert Burton.  In the 1860 census there is a "Prince A." listed as living with Luther and Roena (spelled "Roxanna" here) who would be the same age as Albert.  Prince Albert was the husband of Queen Victoria and was alive when Albert was born in 1853.
